I'm curious: some maintenance requires that the motor be dry-fired. It says to turn the motor over at full throttle: which cuts fuel and/or spark.

However: the boats don't start unless in neutral.... and neutral doesnt allow you to move the throttle.

Any trick here?

Depends on the boat, on my 210 the throttle senor is in drive console, I just zip tie it WOT. What boat do you have?

On the c180, need to stick your hand in the engine bay and open throttle body manually, then have a friend hit the starter. Or a broom handle like i do since nobody is ever around when maintenance needs to be done[emoji1]

Alright. That's what I've been doing. Was just hoping for an easier way!
