Tuning without water

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to put a load on the ski so your able to tune it out of the water?

I know I know but sometimes there are tricks I haven't Heard of yet.

Only way out of water would be a dyno. You'd have to pull engine out of ski and have spare electronics or pull them too.

I've tied skis down on my trailer and backed into the water but mainly for idling issues and to keep water flowing checking for any leaks and testing acc pumps for throttle responses in the water....but you really need to have that tied down tight and front locked down even for that if the back is fully in the water. If you're looking for WOT runs for checking plugs and adjusting highs then wait for a nice calm day early next year in open water. Too dangerous to try on a trailer and it would probably due hull damage. I have never seen a water tank for a jetski but someone probably has one.

Stock carbs but I just did a rebuild on them so I'm trying to figure out why it starts and ideals great. I give it throttle and it hit high rpm but when put in water it bogged then after feathering the throttle for a few seconds it would hit around 5k and take off like a rocket and as long as I hold it wo it would hall ass the min. I take my finger off the gas it starts bogging again.
