tune up spx seadoo 2yr shut down

hello i just got my first ski its a 96 seadoo spx the owner said it was last used two years ago it turns on but what should i do to it before taking it out to lake tune up etc? thanks

I would check the battery first, fresh fuel indeed, check the oil res, pull the plugs out and make sure it rolls over nicely, maybe some new plugs once it gets going. Maybe download an owners manual for the machine and check some of the preseason tips it has. That would cover most everything.

replace grey fuel lines, clean fuel selector. Put in fresh gas, fresh oil, clean filters in carb..:cheers:

Make sure to clip the lanyard key to your life vest, that way it will be attached to you and you can swim and not worry about the key, or the ski going across the lake! LOL
