I think I have my answer but just want to double check. While trouble shooting cranking issues out of the water is is safe to hook up the water hose so I'm not having to put the Sportster in the water every time I have issues?

Took it to lake today for the fist time this season and port engine barely turns over. I believe its a electrical issue but don't want to damage anything while I'm working it out. Starboard engine was hard to start at first but eventually got it running.

Thanks for the help...

If you're just troubleshooting start problems you probably don't even need to hook up the water. I'm assuming your only letting it run 15-20 seconds. It takes me that long to turn the water on.

Thanks Lou. I think its starter related but don't want to burn anything up if I finally get it started and running. So hooking up the water hose for longer periods of time is correct though?? Thanks again
