Hi All,
I was reassembling my jet pump today and I noticed something: There are 2 bushings that help hold the "steering nozzle", an upper and a lower bushing. The upper bushing is symmetrical, but the lower bushing is not. When I first attached the steering nozzle I accidentally reversed the lower bushing and after the steering nozzle was installed I saw my error and reversed the bushing. But, afterward I got to thinking...with the bushing reversed, my steering nozzle was canted up wards about 5 degrees or so more than normal. It might break the bushing (it's only a couple of dollars for a new one) but I may try the boat with bushing reversed to see if it trims the nose up for a bigger wake, etc. Anyone else try this before?
Just a thought.
Tim
