My wife has trouble cranking our 210 Challenger up on the trailer and I am looking to find an easier winding winch. Has anyone changed theirs to a Fulton or something similar making easier to pull the boat up? I don't want an electric one.

I replaced both the winch and jack with Fulton F2 models. My wife usually operates both and they are nicer to use, they look nicer, the winch is totally enclosed (it just seems safer), and the 2 speed winch is a lot easier to crank. It was really easy to install.

That said, my wife still struggles with the winch. I've offered to switch it to an electric model but she says it is not necessary.

Maybe you could try some bunk lubricant to see if that helps. When we had jet skis I added plastic bunk glides. They made an incredible difference. That is something else to consider.

Went to a two speed winch a few years back. Makes the last foot of cranking a lot easier.

Two speed sounds like the way to go, I do use silicon spray on the bunks and that does help but still needs something else. Like a 2 speed winch.
