Trailer towing ski

I will be towing my j/s from Boston to N Carolina (Lake Norman) this summer behind a Tahoe. Is it best to tow with the seadoo cover on or off ?

prolly personal preferance, if you want to keep any rock chips, bugs etc off the ski i would tow cover on

is it a factory cover? make sure that it is on tight to keep wind from getting under it because the vibration could rip it but truck should block most of the wind so you should be fine either way; I would probably keep it on and if i saw it vibrating a lot i would just stop and take it off

The vibration of the cover will scuff the gelcoat, plus it'll turn into a parachute if it comes loose!

I tow with the cover off. Every time I try to tow with the cover on it starts coming un done and blowing around no matter how tight I tie the cords.
