Can someone tell me the model number for the galvanized trailer that originally came with my 2001 Challenger 1800? I think it is a Sharladr, but in searching for a serial number or model number I came up with only sun bleached labels. I need to replace a few items and would like to be able to order parts that I know will fit. Any help is greatly appreciated. I would prefer doing the work myself and not have to take it to someone else to locate parts.

Call shorelandr, give them the vin and your good to go. I talked to them about an optional disc brake kit for my speedster trailer a few years ago.

This is where my problem starts, i cannot locate a vin number on the trailer. From checking the manufactures site they indicate the the vin is printed on labels in two locations on the trailer. On my trailer, they are both bleached out by the sun.

The title has it listed as a homemade trailer since the previous owner could not locate a vin on it either. I called Shorlandr and sent them some photos, so I guess I will just have to wait for ther response.

I already tried looking into the obvious Ways to find the information I need. It's a little challenging trying to get info when I don't know where else to look. Usually if the obvious does,nt provide me with the answers I am looking for on my projects, Google usually comes through. Unfortunately, not with anything to do with this trailer.

Thanks for chiming in guys.

Post a pic of it. If it's like my speedster trailer I have the original documentation from Shorelandr when I bought my stuff new in 99.

Clear pics of the side front and back view please.

I am not 100% sure, but for starters I will need the pads that go on the cross members, the rollers on the front and possibly the entire winch assembly if I can't straighten this one. The next time I take the boat out I will take a close look at the brackets that attach the bunks to the trailer because they may be too rusted to reuse when I replace the bunks. If it's just the bolts, I can pick them up at a hardware store.

If your from Miami I know of a two places to walk in and get or order parts.

In order to get insurance on an older Fleetwood pop up camper trailer that a friend wanted to buy with a homemade title, I found a stamping number on the old pop up camper axle (not too badly rusted) that my friend gave to Fleetwood Canada to research for the serial number / vin # which they were able to find. If I recall correctly, they had to look through records that were not on a computer!

This was more than 10 years ago but that letter from manufacturer was enough satisfy our MTO (our DMV) and get the the proper title with the right vin ... or right vin on the title however it did take a couple of months for the process to work out.

If you can find a stamping # on your axle, shorelander may (or may not) be able to get you your information.

Mike.

Thanks for the info. The photos I sent to Shorelandr did the trick. They send me manuals for two different models, that match the information I provided them. The only difference in the two was one had 13" and the other had 14" wheels. Mine has the 13" so i am confident that i can identify all of the needed parts and order directly from them.
