Trailer measurements.

I'm looking at a 2001 speedster and I'd prefer to store it in my garage because it's climate controlled, easily accessible, and I can tinker on it through the winter. I'm concerned about the dimensions, though. I've got 19' in length (could install a break-away hitch if needed, though not ideal) and 7'10" to slide it through the door (which could be a deal breaker). I've scoured the Internet looking for the trailer measurements to no avail. Could anyone measure their actual trailering length and width? A 7'7" beam is already tight without adding trailer wheels.

My tailer is over 20' in length but it does not have a break away hitch. The width of my trailer is narrower than the beam of the boat. However you should measure the actual trailer on the boat you are looking at since I know of trailers that are wider than the boat. I store mine in my garage, but I have the luxury of putting it in at an angle (3 car garage and takes up the last bay plus the space between that bay and the middle bay). It fits through my one car wide garage door (with about an inch on each side) though since its on an angle I push it in through the 2 car door. It's on an angle because its too long for the garage....

Thank you for the replies. The newer speedster 150 fact sheet says it's on-trailer length is 17'4" and width is 7'1" which would fit in much easier. I just like the layout of the '98 to '01 16' speedsters better. The closest one for sale is nearly 3 hours away -- long drive with a tape measure to find it doesn't fit.

It fits. Just needed a Fulton swing away tongue and trailer valet XL to wedge it in.
