Driving 1000km this weekend to pick up a 2008 speedster 150. Does anyone know roughly what the hitch height is? Wanna make sure my receiver has the appropriate drop.

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the SeaDoo forum.

I just went out and measured mine, the top of the ball is 20", not sure what's standard.

Realistically... all you can do is call the guy you are buying it from, and ask. Every trailer I own is at a different height. But personally... on a ski trailer... it's not that critical.

OR... show up with a 2" and a 4" drop. I'm sure one of them will be fine. (unless you have a lifted truck)

I think he means the height of the new trailer. Every truck/car will have a different hitch height. I believe you want to keep the trailer as level as possible. A little tilt upwards shouldn't matter much. But I don't think you want the trailer tongue titling downwards as the would throw off the correct tongue weigh proportion.
That may mean using a drop down hitch connector if you have a "higher" truck.

I don't think the comment about losing legs or arms was appropriate esp since the Boston tragedy.
To any service person in the military thank you for your service.

SDB, lighten up, it was a joke, from Cotton, King of the Hill, did you even bother to watch video? How old do you think I am?

Thank you for your comment about the military, I served in the First Air Cav.

a phone call is best, but worst case, just go to home depot and buy the 2" and 3 1/2" drop/lift hitches, and return the one(s) you don't use...
oddly enough I found a couple of nice hitch's with balls on CL, was about to go to HD and buy a 2" drop and decided what the hell, and checked CL, for $20 I got a 2" and a 3 1/2" both with balls for $15, (and I saved about a gallon of gas too) guy was about a mile from my house and had sold his boat. so now in my rear storage I have 3 different drop's,,, with different sized balls, so i'm ready for any trailer that comes my way.
