I noticed the other day that my Sea-Doo Challenger (the smaller one) was sitting lower on the trailer than I recalled. At the rear, the hull was basically touching the lights' frames whereas it used to sit a couple inches above them. So at the next launch I took a look at the bunkers and was horrified to discover that both had essentially rotted. The brackets underneath were sticking through the top and making contact with the hull!

This seemed like a good job for the shop instead of DIY since the boat would have to be off the trailer for the repair. I have no practical way to doo that. I suppose if I had the replacement bunkers fabricated in advance and ready to go, it wouldn't be too bad a job. But any snags would be a problem.

Anyway, the local shop installed two new treated 2x4's (the originals were not treated!) and stainless steel bolts and brackets. Should never be an issue again. Out the door for $267.
