I have a 2011 230SP. (430hp)
It has 37 Hours.
Only thing added was the factory wake tower speakers and amp.
Any idea what I should expect to get for a trade in?

Im gonna guess most dealers are going to low ball you and a trade in is going to be like 30,000 to 35,000. You would do better to sell it yourself except its not exactly the best time of year. Why you trying to trade in a virtually brand new boat? Im curious why you dont like it.

I'm just frustrated with it.
Its been in the shop about 6 times already.
It's had 3 false check engine errors. (still beeps every few hours)
The depth finder no longer works.
The gear selector stopped working and the bushings in the rear gate had to be replaced (37 hours and bushings were not covered under warranty - $600 later)
The swim platform padding peeled off (easy fix but annoying)
The rubber molding around the rear hatch peeled off (also easy, but annoying)
I just feel that for a 50K boat, the quality is just not there.

What does NY have for the lemon law on boats....
6 trips to the dealer during the first summer sounds like something is wrong here.
Why weren't the bushings covered? don't tell me they classify it as a wear item.

Talk to the Seadoo factory service rep and ask for an extended warranty for your troubles.

Honestly, i dont blame you. I love my old doo. All your issues have been brought up on here before. The newer boats are crap compared to other manufacturers. You certainly expect a lot more for 50 grand. Try taking up the issue with corporate customer service. A few others here have had good luck doing that.

Add a broken speedo to the list of issues...

I threw in the towel.
I ended up trading it in for a 2012 Monterey M3.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out on these boards.

Even know the 230 was a little bit of a headache, part of me will miss it... It provided me with one of the most memorable summers ever.

You cant skate outta here that easy. You need to a least fill us in on your original question. How much did they give you in trade in?

The dealer gave me 40k for the boat on the trade in.
It was a 230sp with 41 hours on it. Only options were the wake tower speakers, amp, and battery charger. I was originally going to keep it one more season, but they offered me such a good deal, I went for it.

Thats actually much better than i figured they would give ya. Congrats on your new purchase!!!
