Hello everyone. I bought a 2001 Utopia last august and have had a lot of fun with the boat. I just got a new cover that is made by Commercial Sewing. I was wondering if I am supposed to leave the anti-pooling poles in while towing?

Also has anyone had experience towing with a hitch extender? I was looking at getting a Swagman bike rack for the receiver that has a 18inch extender to allow room for the bikes. They say they have a 3500lb tow rating. I was wondering if this would great effect the towing?
Thanks.

I cant chime in on the cover but I do have experience with the hitch extender. i went to my local trailer place and they sold me one of the hitch extenders with the hitch on top for a bike rack or something, paid 70 bucks for it, had to drill a hole to allow the bike rack to work with the pin so it wouldn't interfere with the trailer bow roller. i was in harbor freight last week in the hitch aisle and ran across the IDENTICAL hitch extender thing, same stickers and everything for $25 bucks. Normally i am fine with helping my local small businesses but not when im sold something that i have to modify because the hole was drilled to far forward.

Good Luck!

I've used the swagman extender for bikes and pulled a 4800 trailer with no problems. I had a class 3 hitch so I don't know how the other classes will do. I would also use the poles to keep it taught or it will flap and shred the cover.
