Towing procedure

If you search this site you will find several differing answers on which hose to clamp, that's because it differs depending on which engine you have. naturally aspirated, or, open loop supercharged, or, intercooled supercharged. On my intercooled supercharged 215. You need to clamp the water inlet hose. The service manual shows it much better than the owners manual. It comes off the jet pump housing, (port side), and runs (mostly in the bilge beneath the engine) to the forward side of the engine. The cooling system diagram in the service manual, presents a much clearer picture than the section on "towing". You should clamp this if you're towing at speeds over 8+mph
