Hi All,

Need some help. We want to tow our speedster behind our Hatteras from Wilmington NC to Myrtle beach SC. It has the mercury 210 and I am worried about water getting into the engine. What do I need to do to prevent this?

Thanks for any advice, we are heading out on Sunday to Myrtle beach for the week of the 4th.

I may be wrong... but on the merc engines, I don't think that's an issue. (Like on the Rotax boats) With the Merc engine... you are able to flush the engine, without needing to run it.

just trying to verify this but my engine manual says to run the engine at idle while flushing. is this just overkill or can you actually flush the engine while not running. Anyone care to verify that the boat can be towed without clamping a hose?
