Are there any precautions which need to be made to tow a 94 Seadoo GTX on the water behind another boat? I heard you could flood the engine with water if you didn't clamp a hose, but which hose?

Yes, that is true. The hose is the one coming from the jet pump to the cylinder head on the engine. If you tow over 15 mph the pressure will flood the engine because it has no back pressure from the exhaust and it will flood the engine. If you pinch off the hose it won't allow any cooling to be forced into the cooling system.

I hope this info helps.

Maximum recommended towing speed is 15 MPH. When towing your watercraft in water faster than 15mph, pinch the water supply hose from the impeller housing to the engine with a hose pincher.

Oops, I'm too slow. Yeah what he said.
