Not sure if this is old news. But I know its cold out there right now.(February)

But good thing he had his cell phone.
And its a rare thing..........a Seadoo breaking down.!!!!!

Haha I tried carying my cell phone in my Doo locker......but jumping waves broke it, along with the sea water that got too it.:)

Cough cough........

Yeah I know!:svengo:

But im just trying to hi light the fact, that Seadoo's rarely break down...................................................................................................................................:banghead::

Its just something you dont hear about to often.

Yea news is news...I never hear about seadoo's breaking down...that's why louis an I are always kidding with each other on line here in the forum...we need things to break so we can help fix them.lol

cellphones

i always put mine in ziplock bag in the center storage area with a whistle and knife and drivers liecense and a couple or other things that md requires

Only in Alabama!....

Only in Alabama can you ride 3 to 5 miles off shore and lose cell phone service. I've been at Dauphin Island and out in the water, less than 100 feet offshore and have no cell service!...........that's not good!

I leave my cell phone wrapped in towels...not to protect it , but so I don't have to hear the ringing...

now collor me silly, or just uninformed - but i thought when you 'towed' a seadoo, you were supposed to tow it backwards. I thought i was told this bceause if it was pulled forward, water got in somplace that it wasnt supposed to - which never made sense to me since you ride it that way to begin with.

So is it best to tow the like in the video and NOT in reverse? or the other way around?

You can tow it forward, but you have to pinch off the water line from the jet pmp to keep water from forcing into the engine as it isn't running and it will fill the exhaust and the engine. You shouldn't tow it any faster than 15 MPH.
That's direct from the seadoo manual.

Karl

:agree: i agree with karl. of course i dont have my manual handy but i did read the thing several times and it never said anything about towing backwards. that seems like it would be a pain. i thought you could tow it without pinching the lines but you just had to tow it at 5 or 10 mph. maybe 15's right. like i said i dont have my manual but 15 just seems a little high. however maybe they give a number with pinching the line and without...lol who knows... i sure dont

The manual states towing at 15 mph is allowed if the water feed line is pinched off....faster would cause lots of trouble, like loss of control ect.

Karl

does it say what you can do without pinching it. i have no idea where that line would be. is it easy to find on my rxp?

Yes, it is easy to find. It is the line, on your model I believe, that comes from the jet pump tunnel to the head of the engine. It is like 3/8" in diameter.
