Hey guys looking for tips before o buy parts and start the assembly…

looks like who’s sets are in there now. Looks over size 89.4mm I have one cylinder that had a ring break down it looks and left some grooves. The other cylinder was 120psi.
Should I hone and put another set in with new rings? Or re-bore next size if I can?
Thoughts?

thanks for the suggestion! Kinda what I was thinking. The top end looks relatively recent, back cylinder looks like it ate the ring. I’m not sure how that happened? I bought it this way.

I can buy a new crank for $500(cad) and a re-bore and new pistons $585(cad). I could have a new motor just over $1000 plus misc parts obviously. The machine is in really nice shape so I think it’s worth it…
 
If you like it yes. When my 2001 XP needs it I will be doing a full rebuild. Still way cheaper than a new ski.
 
Update**
Completed top end rebuild 90mm over bore with wossner pistons. It’s runs nice on a hose so far!
