Took seadoo 2002 bombardier out ran good then started sinking

I took my seadoo out today here in Milton Florida was on the river ran fine
As soon as I decided to hit the salt water it felt like something was boggling me down then it started to run fine then it was full throttle and no acceleration that’s when I noticed I was taking on water about crapped down my legs I was in a area that was not very occupied thank god that a boat came by and gave me a tow. But does anyone have any idea why or what is going on please

What model ski do you have?

I would suspect the carbon driveshaft seal. Pull to plastic cover at the rear of the engine and inspect the driveshaft, seal and rubber bellows.
