One of my 787 motors idles too high. It always starts great and runs well on the water. Just idles too high.

3.5-4k rpms on trailer. Close to 2k on water.

My settings on carb are at 1.5 and 0. I followed seadoo manual on adjusting and seems to be correct.

Is there anything internally in the carb that could cause this??

Thanks

Have you tried adjusting the idle? It's an adjustment on the carb. linkage. Here's a pic.

yes the idle is turned down. I cant seem to adjust it anyway that will allow it to go below 3.8k rpms.

Could something internally in the carb cause this issue???

You could have an air leak in the carbs. or in the fuel system, it's hard to say.

Is the throttle cable adjusted too tight? No slack and holding the throttle open?
