To buy a 2000 GTX or 2001 RX?

Hello

I'm looking at getting one of these skis. A 2000 Millenium GTX or a 2001 RX. My wife and I typically ride together on the same ski and we also pull a wakeboarder at times. I guess I have a few questions.

1) I've read some bad things about the 951 motors. Both of these skis have that motor, correct? Should I steer clear of them?

2) Anyone ride double on an RX? I'm just curious if it's too tight of a ride. Both my wife and I are of average size.

3) Anyone pull any wakeboarders with an RX? I was just curious how the smaller craft would do with one in tow.

Also, both skis are in the $3000-$3500 range with trailer. GTX has a bit over 100 hours and the RX has less than 70.

Thanks!

I just bought a 2000 GTX with 98hrs on it. It's my first ski and it's awesome. My wife and I along with our 3 year old took it out last week for our first ride. Man the thing has power. I can't wait to ski behind it, as the lake we were on was only 56degrees. Anyway, take this for what it;s worth but I have know regrets about the GTX M. Some states and Provinces make it maditory for you to have a 3 seater if you are going to tow. Something to consider.

1. I have had 3 951 motors in the skis I have owned with no real issues if you get them with decent compression, etc, etc, etc.

2. I wouldn't. It was tippy enough with 1 person, never mind 2.

3. No. AFAIK our RX was a 2 seater. Most places want you to have 3 people. 1 on the board, 1 controller and 1 observer

Seems ok to me. $3000 would be better. Test compression and check wear ring first.
