TinyTach Cable Length

I have a 96 Challenger. My stock tach failed so I got a tiny tach. It works correctly and I had the engine running (out of water) where the RPM was a semi steady 3k. But, I want to mount this to the dash in place of the failed tach. Can I extent the signal cable to get enough distance to the helm? If so, do I need special shielded cable to go about this?

It’s possible, but you need a thin gauge two-conductor shielded cable to extend it. To be honest, I’d call TinyTach and see what they have to say about which cable to use...
