After the having to replace the 2nd topend on my 2000xp I'm thinking it's time to trade it in. Was a great ski until a couple of my friends bumped into one another. The bump chipped up the gel coat. Next day out the motormount brakes and rips apart the flywheel and driveshaft. I self repair all those parts. Then I find out the motor is toast. Get maybe less than a year out of a rebuilt motor and my brother sucks up a towline. While turning it to the side water poors in from a weak seal. Been having trouble ever since. The compression reads 100,115 now. This was my 4th seadoo. Though I enjoyed the carving in corners and a suspension under the seat I'm not sure which I'd want to sacrifice. Do a buy an RXP-X 260 or a RXT-X 260? Was puzzled to hear not to tow a wakeboard off the new suspension seadoos. For once I try to do something legal and seadoo says not to tow with it. Hahaha! No oceans in GA but come vacation time I'm headed to the beach. I enjoyed offshore racing and long distance rides though I haven't done any racing since 1998. Love to make sharp corners but refuse to risk bumping in close course races at the cost of a gel coat.
Keeping my light weight spx cause I'm not thrilled with the heavy weight machines. To many specialized boats to choose from. Maybe I need to hold off until next year...
