Hi guys and gals!

I am currently shopping to upgrade from my 2001 GS. I am looking at either the 215hp wake pro, or the wake 155. I would love to have the 215hp version however I am a little hesitant due to the extra maintenance. I have searched around but can't seem to find a lot about the super charger rebuilds. Is this something I could do my self? I work on my VW GTI as of now, things like inter-cooler setups, piping, minor block work. With the skills of the so called "weekend" mechanic can this be accomplished? Does someone have a shop book for a 2008 215hp (Model I'm currently looking at) As far as oil changes go, with the right supply I am assuming it should be pretty straight forward. What special tools might I need? Also is there a list of the service intervals and what needs to be done somewhere?

Thanks sooo much!

Go for the 215.
It's generally recommended to rebuild the S/C every 100hrs. So lets say you avg. 20-25 hours a year, you're only looking at a rebuild every 4-5 years. Depends on how much riding you do... In Canada we can only get 15-20 hours depending on how much time you get to the water so I would have personally gone for the 215 but opted for the 155 because it was my first watercraft.. still fast, but faster is better :reddevil:

Finally :-)

After nearly 6 months of researching and shopping I pulled the trigger on a new ski. I picked up a 2007 GTX 155 on saterday and I am in love! The 155 has plenty of power and a lot less maintenance than the 215. I am doing all the pre-season checks throughout this week and will be out on the water this coming weekend
