hi, I have a 95 speedster, took it out on the lake this past week and noticed that the back was getting a little heaver and I was not moving as fast I was, I slowed down opened the engine cover and noticed that water was comming in thru the drive shaft area, got back to land, did some looking to see where it was really comming from, I removed the boot from the shaft and pto and noticed this where water is comming in, got home came on the site did some home work.. Know I have to removed the thru hull carrier. Is there any way possible to remove this with out damaging the hull?...any tricks or tools or videos would be great step by step.......ty joe

You got lucky. Most of the time they break off clean, and the boat sinks.

You can get a replacment aluminum fitting, and you epoxy it into the hull.

Some of the inserts fit into the old fitting, so all you do is cut it off flush, and put the new one in... but some reqire you to remove all of the old fitting. SO... before you dig into your hull... get the new fitting.

Finally, that fitting only gets damaged when the seal pack fails. SO... I would highly recommend rebuilding your seal pack.
