Is there any way for me to determine if my (new to me) Challenger 180 (2011) model has the revised/fixed Throttle?

I saw the sticky with the link and have it printed out to take to my dealer. But I'm not totally sure if this was already done to my boat by the previous owner.. Or maybe calling service and giving them my VIN - they could look any records like this up?

I think you can call seadoo customer service or if you have good relation with your dealer, they can pull the information based on your VIN and let you know I'd its needed or not..

I got 2011 and my boat wasn't pat of it.

My S/N is in the list shown in the recall doc. So I guess mine is. I think it was an early 2011..

Anyways, I already got it scheduled and am heading to drop it off at the dealer today! Getting an oil change and maybe new spark plugs too, if need be (says every 2 years?).

as far as I know, Most of the SeaDoo owners here change their OIL, Filter and Spark Plugs before they put the boat away before Winter.

My dealer suggested same thing, change the OIL/Filter/Spark plugs before putting it away but I didn't do mine since I got my 10 hours service 1 month before I put the boat away. He told me if you got extra money then I can do it again otherwise you can do it in the summer (or I can do it myself if I want to save trip and money)

Well there's a chance mine was never changed [once] by the previous owner (a chance, right?) and so for peace of mind I'll get it done..

How do you change the oil yourself, pump it out? That was how I did it on my AR230 a few years ago.. What about the oil filter?

Well, I got it back from the dealer. It looks the same, LOL.. New washers and nuts or something. Nothing major though apparently. I can't tell the difference, but hopefully it's "safer" now.. :D

Where can I find this recall doc so I can see if my boat was involved?

Attached is the PDF... The dealer seemed to know about it, but had to wait 3 days for parts to arrive from Sea-Doo in order to perform the work. Like I said it was just like a washer and nut or something like that. The throttle handles themselves seem to be exactly the way they were. It's unclear what is "unsafe" about this, but hey, if it's a recall, might as well get it done (for FREE) [esp. if its while your boat is in for service or whatever].

I will have to double check but I didn't notice when I did a quick once-over after picking it up..

The parts they replaced (according to my warranty receipt) were:

232551600 Nut-stop elastic DIN.985A2
293150026 Rivet-pop 1/8
204390377 Control-Ultraflex

The nut and pop rivet are nothing really. Probably $1 parts each.

The Control-Ultraflex according to some Google searches is the main Throttle assembly (an $800 part!)... So I guess that's a YES, I got a new Throttle setup entirely.. cool!
