Hello SeaDoo Forum,
I am a long time owner of my 2002 Sea Doo Challenger 1800 Bombadier. I found a description of a problem on here that sounded similar to what I have run into yesterday. I was out skiing with my daughter and friends and we had a great day but eventually the boat did not seem to be running right. It did not have its usual rocket like pickup when throttle was full forward. Bu boat ran fine for a bit longer. Then I was idling and I went to hit throttle to speed up from a 10 mph put and heard a loud almost grinding like sound unlike what I have ever heard. Pulled throttle back and engine stayed running. I ended up driving very slowly about a mile to my dock. I do know that the throttle cable is not disengaged or loose as this happened a few years back where I had no acceleration because of that. I am basically looking for ideas as I did see a forum description on here of a similar behavior although I did not see any replies. Thanks for any help !
