My name is Matt and I are new to the boating world. We purchased a 97 Seadoo GTI and a 1987 Sea Ray last weekend. We took the Sea Doo out last weekend and rode for a few minutes with the kids. Nothing too fast, just cruising around for about 30 minutes and everything was working well.
We took the Seadoo out for the second time yesterday and things didn't go as well. My wife and I were doubling on it for about 30 minutes solid at about 3/4 to full throttle. I was riding at about 3/4 throttle for about 10 minutes solid when the throttle began feeling like it was cutting in and out. Almost like it was running out of gas, but it wasn't. I sat idle for about 5 minutes and then began riding again and it was running fine again. My wife bagan driving a while later and the same thing started happening to her. After a few minutes she said it was not doing it again.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what is going on with the throttle? When it does this, it feels like the sea doo loses some of its power also, which I'm sure is true since it is not giving a full throttle.
Please help. I hate that I am already having troubles after two times out.
