Throttle Cable issues

So this past friday was my 30th B-day and I was pumped about getting my boat our on the water with some friends. I received my wear rings, my carb kit and my all new interior on thursday and was frantically working to get it all put back together. Once completed I fired up the motors and everything sounded great except I had no throttle response on the starboard motor. After further review i found that where the low speed cable and the cable from the controls came together in that box were disconnected. I was extremely disappointed considering the cable is literally two weeks old. Is this something that can be fixed????? Or am I gonna have to buy a new one???.

Also, My starboard motor seems to be idling a little high and I noticed that the cable where it goes down to the bottom of the motor and controls the oil injection doesnt seem to be working properly. Not really sure what is going on by I didnt seem to have these problems until after the cable busted the first time. I am so confused and getting frustrated.

If youd bought a new cable and it broke it shoud still be under warranty. I am sure they give 30 days to 1 year on the cables. The cable that goes down to the oil injection has a small black guide that keeps the cable in place. Is that guide still there? I drop those damn things all the time and have to order more since they fall under the engine.

Well to be honest I dont know if I lost it or not. The arm turns freely going in both directions.

The spring might of broke. Need to use a mirror on a flexible pole to take a look if its all ok.
