Throttle Assembly - Detailed Assembly Diagram

Greetings all. The long winter is coming to an end, and even tho there is still ice on the lakes, I figure I should finish a project I started last fall. I had disassembled my throttle/shift assembly and I have seem to found there was some missing parts. I can't find a real good, clean, blow up of where all the parts go for replacement and reassembly (riva motorsports diagram is way to grainy to identify all the small parts).

Does anyone have a good exploded parts view that shows all the springs, screws, ball bearings, etc?

Thanks

Lol. I am talking about the control assembly (throttles and forward/reverse shift assembly)

I took mine out for a test run after resealing the jets. Apparently the throttle assembly didn't like my manhandling & the shiifter (Fwd-Rev) snapped off. It showed signs of pre-existing cracks. New Ultra Controller #277000446 is $963. I'll take photos when I disassemble if you have the same - let me know if it would help. I'll start a thread looking for spare parts - anyone?

Use drop down, seadoo boats, your year, your model, control handle
Click on a number and it will take you to the part# and description below. The control handles were made by UltraFlex, they are expensive but I have seen some super clean ones on ebay for dirt cheap at times and they get snapped up quick.

You might be able to call Ultraflex and they can get you a new replacement handle from a newer style possibly. It doesn't look like much has changed "down below".

If I ever need one, I'll be going the custom route , because this just looks hot with the aluminum on the handles. Ultraflex 42283G
http://uflexusa.ultraflexgroup.com/default.asp

After wasting several hours trying to fix mine I ordered the Ultraflex 43383G
FYI -
- Ultraflex says they quit making them for the SeaDoo market
- Yamaha appears to have the same (different part number) but on national backorder
- Greatlakesskipper say they have 1 left

I compared measurements and it appears the only difference are the aluminum handles. If these controllers become obsolete and they all appear to break in the same place, a rigid repair kit should sell easily. (I'm working on it - but I wanna use the boat) The newer version (around <2010>) castings appear a little different.

I guess the only thing you need to figure out is the wiring for the safety interlocks. The lower bracket appears it will bolt onto the housing. Take some detailed pics of the install and post for everyone please. You have my email if you need anything. Hope you got it at a fair price, they ain't cheap.

The only electrical on my old unit is the neutral safety switch - that appears the same on the 43383G. The interlock portion is controlled with detent ball bearings & springs. I haven't told my wife about the price yet - I'll wait until we're on the water having fun.

Yes that's what I meant, the neutral start switch.

Lol, if you're going to tell her on the water, make sure you take the key. Can't wait to see how it works out.

Fits like a glove - not an OJ Simpson glove. Handles appear to be stainless - all holes match up - neutral safety switch is slightly different but my switch bolts up (same mount) - has a trigger release latch for neutral - overall happy, but wife still doesn't know - now I need a steering wheel to match

USAF Pride,
The pins mate with the casting of the same width. Spring & ball bearing sit below on it's own. Photo shows pins - spring w/ball bearing along side the hole in which it was removed.

I was working on my throttle assembly for tightening the throttle cable. The work is done. But When I was trying to take the whole assembly out of the hull, I felt something (cable?) underneath was holding it down. I ended up working with the thing "half out".

Thanks for the drawing. Now I can see #1 part is originally in 60 degree angle. I bent it to 90 degree to compensate the extra slack at the throttle end.

I just replaced my whole control assembly - the key is proper cable adjustments (reverse latch lock position is critical) and leaving room for fine tune adjustment at carbs and jets after controller is installed. It also helped that I ran WD40 thru all cables prior to installation.

You must be left handed...because that is such a slick way to lube cables!!!!! I cant believe I didnt think of that! I have one of those cable luber things and it sucks.
