throttle adjustment

Hi everybody, I have about 1/2 play in the thumb trigger of my 1997 GSX. is there an adjustment for it or must it be replaced, I have found a new one for $70.00.

should be adjustment, look on carb(if you can), being a tight spot, but there should be a plate afixed to carb that cable runs in, under that plate and above it, theres nuts to loos'n/tight'n for that reason...:cheers:
