Today my son and I took the Utopia to the water. This was the third trip to the water. The first was the maiden voyage, the second was the sea trial with the dealer here in FLA and today we went to Crystal River in FLA.

Day started out chilly but warmed to nearly 70f(Sorry to my hoser buddies in Igloos). The Coast Guard Auxiliary was set up at the ramp and did a complimentary boat inspection. We passed and got a sticker for the windshield Wahooooo! Cody and I launched the boat and off we went.

First we notice the boat still goes a little "Forward" in neutral. I understand we wont be able to get it perfect but We will try and get the adjustment a little closer.

Off we go and the boat is performing great! We still have this intermittent vibration from the hull when idling but the dealer technician thinks it may break in and go away(If not they will address at the 10 hour service). The boat jumps out of the water like nothing else. Acceleration from 20 to 30 is awesome! My 15 year old son got a chance to drive and he loved it! We anchored near a spring in Kings Bay. We set up the table and had a nice lunch while watching a bunch of scuba divers. Following lunch we started to head back to the launch area when we heard a short alarm accompanied by a check engine light on the port engine. DOH!!!!! I can now feel the lack of power in the boat too. I phone the dealer and speak with the technician and tell him whats goin' on....he says I'm fine to limp back to the ramp and get the boat on the trailer which I do. I then make the 2 hour trip to the dealer and they actually looked at the boat while I waited. Mind you I didn't buy the boat there.

Turns out the number one fuel injector on the port engine wasn't firing because of a connection at its respective fuse block. The technician was sorta vague about what was wrong but was confident the issue is resolved. He also made an adjustment to my bucket cable and we were then headed home. What great service!!

Aside from it being a distance from my house I love my new dealer!

It's to bad TVZ1965 wasn't closer to these folks, it sounds just like the kind of dealership that he needs to find for his 230 Wake.
