Hey can anyone tell me what to look for when buying a use 717. The motor turns but the batt keeps dieing. Im going to charge batt over night. But what should I look for as fare as compression or any thing else you all might think of before I buy this motor. This motor is coming out of a 1997 spi jetski thats been wrecked it only has 60 hours on it.

under 100-110, motor is on its last leg, for battery dying, might be a bad battery, or the rectifier is shot. Replace those around 40-50 buks...good luck

Electrical system....?

The magneto charging system creates current in AC. This current is sent through the rectifier to convert that current into DC current. It is then regulated to 14 volts DC. The only component part of your doo to use the AC current is your coils. It steps up the voltage to your spark plug to 40,000 volts AC.
