I just caught a REALLY big snake under my house and wanted to share a few pics.
For the life of me I cannot get them to attach on to a thread,
HELP (plz)

i think it is easier to upload the picture to a photo site. I use photobucket.com you can sign up there free. Then you upload pics. Copy and paste the code they give you into a thread here and you get nice full size pics.

Click the "Post Reply" button and not the quick reply. On that page at the very bottom you will see a button that says "Manage Attachments" you can add the picture in there.

Does the size of the picture get reduced to suit the page or will it just be rejected. If so,that means I need to make the picture smaller.Somehow.
Thanks guys

Do it the way I suggest and you dont have to resize. You get nice big full size images on here. It really takes like 15 seconds to do it all and post a picture on here.

I agree with RFoster.. If its a large picture use photobucket.com.

I've been using photbucket for a long time. It's a good site. They will resize pics as they upload, and to link them back... it's easy. Just copy and paste the "IMG" link.

Like this.....

[I ! MG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v94/Tony4aro/PICT3169.jpg[/IMG]

And once you take the ! out of the front "IMG".... it will look like this....

I put the "!" in it, so you could see what the link looks like. This site will automatically replace the link with a picture.

Thank you all for your help.I'll get that photo up and show you this bloody BIG snake.Took 2 of us to hang on to it

Photo .Yes yes

The white board are 6 inch the green beam it's across is 4inches and the thing was 3 mters long(10 foot).
I rang my neighbour and said"Mate!,can you give my a hand please."
I got the photos up because my daughter was here and showed me how.(god bless her cotton socks):hurray:
We caught him and took him down the hill to a creek and let him go.

He is a big one, that's for sure. We had a red-tail boa that was about his size; 10' long & his neck about the size of your wrist.

NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I found a tiny little snake, and my kid wanted to keep it.... so I put it in a cage. It got out, and the wife threatened to leave if we didn't find it. (she is scared of snakes)

We never did find it... but she never did leave either. :biggrinjester:

FYI...

If you copy and paste the tag on photobucket that starts with it will show up.

Here's the monster my wife was going to leave over.

That's why we had the boa -it started at 3' long and didn't move very fast. I had no idea they lived to be 45 yrs old.....I gave it away after about 9 yrs.

Are the Boa's venomous? or just a constrictor

Rusty. When they're that big I suppose they don't need to be.
In my area,it's the Eastern Brown snake that you REALLY watch out for. It's in the top 3 in the world. And they are around. To make things worst, they are reasonably aggresive. It gets knocked into you from a young age,not to play with them.

Yes... the colors are about the same. The one in my picture is an Eastern milk snake. Totally harmless. They are good for eating mice around the house. Depending on local slang... Milk snakes are also known as corn snakes.

As an FYI... if the pupal of the eye is round... it is nonvenomous. Also, if the head isn't larger than the body, and triangle shaped, it will be nonvenomous. (the venom glands are on the sides of the jaw)

That's interesting about the head size. The top 3,Fierce,Tiger and Eastern Brown all have smaller heads then the body.A Tiger flattens it's neck when it's angry but not as much as a Cobra, but you DO see it.The East.Brown will stand up 1/3 of it's body and strikes upward making the strike often above the knee..
The eyes.I'll tell you what.I don't get that bloody close to check them out.
I think only the death Adder has a head wider than the body.
These are only Aust. snakes. You gotta watch where you walk especially in any bushland or grassy ares.Top 10 deadliest all live down here. You walk around like a cat on a hot tin roof.
Now.Let me tell you about the spiders,,,,Nah!

Wow that thing is freakin huge. I dont even know what I would do except run back in the house..lol
