So after several months of you guys helping me here...my 400 diollar 96 XP had her maiden voyage. Coming from a 97 GTI with a possibly cavitating pump....i warmed it up iding out of the no wake zone, first time I gunned it had a small hesitation but after a complete fuel system overhaul wasn’t unexpected. Then it was like I lit the afterburners, the ski accelerated so fast it almost left me sitting in the lake. I was not prepared for that...nor the top end speed which is considerably faster than the GTIs. Thanks to all who helped, especially etemplet and Mikidymac. This thing is a beast.
