My RX-DI's telltale is not pumping out water very strongly, compared to my friend's '00 RX Carb model.

Can there be a blockage somewhere and if so, how can I unblock it?

Tell-Tale?

I don't think you can actually compare your tell tale with someone elses, especially if the engine configuration is different. To do that, you'd have to match rpm exactly.

The water pressure is dictated by the water ports of the engine and how much is dumped into the exhaust. What's left comes out the pump and "tell tale". At idle, you should see a flow. Not strong, just a flow. At WOT, you should have a nice pee stream from the back.

If you can run the ski and not hear a over heat alarm, at all ranges in rpm, then you have no problem. There is a possibility of some blockage from use in shallow areas or sea grasses......but the bottom line is, do you have enough to cool the engine? And, like I said, if you never hear the overheat warning going off, then your probably fine. You can also put your hands on the heads and cylinder walls where possible to see how hot they get.

Good luck!.........
