I see from the parts images one fuel pump filter in the tank.

1. Is this the only filter?!?!
2. Is it as easy as it looks to pull out and replace?
3. Who's added a more traditional spin on with separator?

Thx.

Actually there are two filters in the tank, one is connected to the bottom of the pump , the other is connected to canister the pump sits in. Both are available at Autozone, Airtex Part numbers for the filters
Outer Fuel Filter:FS242
Inner: FS220
if they want a application use a 97-02 Saturn SL with a 1.9L
exactly the same filter.

Thanks. How odd! I'm sure it's never been done so I'll get on that.

Anyone putting traditional filter/separators on these?

Thanks. What a silly design. First boat I've owned with a not easily serviced filter solution. Anyone know Sea Doo recommended replacement interval?

Keep in mind that that the fuel filter in your boat are car is just a back up.
All gas pumps have fuel filters to protect their pump. The pumps on land are always changed regularly from what I have seen. Sometimes the filters at the dock are not. The pump at the dock I go to sometimes has a filter that looks like the one that was on the pump when the pump was installed in 1978 so I won't buy gas there. Keep a eye on the the pump filters at the dock.
