a couple of guys were discussing this on FB the other day, and they said its a real PITA to get them hooked back together, especially with ski's on them, a real PITA.

I imagine so. Having to get the back lined up just right for the pins to lock in.

Awesome idea though for people with 2 Doos.

It looks interesting. I guess you also consider 2x the maintenance, tires etc. I wonder what they are ($) in Canada. I would bet that
If they are the $2300 in USA that they would be $3000 minimum here. Still, a neat idea for those who want to just take one machine for the day. It usually ends up having to transfer one to a single I keep just for this reason or my buddy rides my 2 one day and I ride one of his the next. We now have a power lift but fussing with them cuts into the ride and enjoyment of them....:)

I like to see new things... but I don't see the point at all with that trailer.

1) To be legal as singles... it would have to be registered as two trailers. SO... you would pay 2x the tax, and 2x the registration $$.

2) As above... there are more tires, bearings, lights, and parts to maintain. (= $$)

3) With more tires, bearings, and frame parts... that trailer will be heavy. Add that to the rolling resistance, and it will cost more in fuel to pull it.

4) Reflecting on #1... it may be of questionable road legalness, since it may be considered a "Double" (like a big-rig pulling 2 trailers)

5) Reflecting on #1 again..... If it's registered as one trailer... then only one of the singles would be a legal trailer, since the manufacture CAN NOT put the same VIN on both parts.

6) Since it all comes apart.... you can't mount a trailer box anywhere. I know that's not a big deal to some... but it's nice to have on a double trailer.

Anyway... I don't see what the big deal is, pulling a double trailer (if you own one) and only launching one ski. I do it all the time. If there is ANY benefit to this new trailer... let me know.

OK... a few things...

1) I verified that P/N WCA-1250-39 is a kit to put 2 trailers together. SO.....

2) This "Trailer" will be sold to you as 2 single trailers (twice the registration, taxes, insurance, etc)

3) It will now be considered as a "Double" by any DMV, so it may not be legal in all states.

4) Even if it is legal as "one" trailer... it will now be a 2 axle trailer. So, if you pull it on a pay road, you will be paying CRAZY high tolls since it will put you in the same class as a big-rig.

4a) if considered as a 2 axle trailer... to be legal in many states... it will need brakes on at least one axle.

5) the price tag is $2300 !!!!!!!!!!!!

AND... one last thing I just thought of....

6) If you get a flat on one of the center tires when it's together.... it will be a total pain in the butt to change. (you would have to separate the trailers on the side of the road)

More or less.... every way you look at it... it's silly, since there are NO benefits.

Great analysis Dr Honda. I thought it was cool when I seen it as it's a new idea but you brought up quite a few issues I bet
Even Karavan didn't consider!

Sure... Don't get me wrong. Someone was thinking, and being creative. I've been thinking of something kind of like that, where I can add a couple feet to my boat trailer, and another axle. (To be able to take a PWC along with me) BUT... when I pull off the extension, it wouldn't be a legal trailer.

BUT... some upper management/marketing at Karavan really wasn't thinking.

NOW... if they did a double trailer, that allowed a ski and a boat... that would be a different story. You can separate the ski off, to save weight, and be convenient.
