Taking in some water

I've noticed the past couple times out that after a while my boat has been taking on a decent amount of water. It's enough that I've had to bilge for 5 min or so to get it out when I dock it. The plugs are in and I didn't take any water over into the cabin. Any ideas where to start looking?

Another related question. Could water come in through the opening that you plug the hose up to when you flush the jet? Thanks.

Good questions.

I have a related question. For seadoo boats (mine is a 2005 sportster scic), where is the bilge compartment located? I want to give it a good cleaning but don't know how to access it. Where would I dump in some bilge cleaner solution?

Try to start a new thread when you have a question... I see in your post history that you have been tacking on questions to other peoples threads (called "thread hijacking") and it really clutters the forum. You're much more likely to get a response when you create your own topic

Hi

I haven't personally experienced this problem but I have read other threads on this site that have found water leaks to often come from loose cooling hoses, the seal around the drive shaft and even the exhaust.

I'm not sure if this will work in a Seadoo boat, but in a jetski, one way of finding a leak is to half-fill the hull with water whilst on the trailer and with the bungs in and then see if water starts leaking out of any holes or seals etc.
