my 03 challenger 1800 needs a new tachometer. i found one on ebay right with from a 2000 challenger. I've searched a couple parts sites and found different parts numbers. so I can't match any. will this one work?

It's hard to say since you aren't showing us the part.

Also... a "2000 Challenger" isn't a good description, since there is a model YEAR 2000, and a model 2000.

Finally... what engine do you have? (add your boat to your signature line)

A quick search for that tach number 204470807 has been replaced with 204470962 so both should work

I have the 240 I believe.
I live just northwest of Philly but boat/have a house on the jersey coast.

Depending where you look you will find that they list the number and what number it was replaced by. 204470962 is the current number and the tach will work on all the models that are listed.
