Tach RPM reading 4K with no throttle

Hey guys I just purchased a Seadoo 200 Speedster and took it out for the second trip yesterday. Ran great except a weird problem in the beginning of the run.
the tach, both engines would get to 4-5k RPM and stay there, even with no throttle. Almost looked like the needle was stuck After running some more and a few resets, we didn’t see the problem again. Read through the manual and online and found nothing.
Any suggestions? TIA

MIne sticks as well. I give it a tap and it returns to normal for me.

No. For sure not.

Analog gauges? My 2006 Challenger's tach sticks all the time. I simply tap it like C9R0J0, it returns to normal.

My 2006 utopia tach sticks too, I do the same and give them a tap to go back to normal
