Synthetic or mineral oil???

1996 XP 800. I was told by the dealer i needed to run the XP-S SYNTHETIC. i was then told by another mechanic i could run the XP-S mineral oil. one is $46.99 gallon and other is $31.99 gallon, both by bombardier. which one do i need to run or can i use the quiksilver synthetic from walmart? thanks
 
I run both my skis (95 and 97 xp) and my challenger boat on Wallys oil
no problems to date !!!!
save that I can't go as fast due to the excessive weight in my right rear pocket aka (full wallet):hurray::hurray:
 
No mineral oils....

I use the Quicksilver brand of full synthetic in my 787. The synthetic oil is BRP's requirement for your engine. The lubricating properties of the synthetic far outweigh in benefits over mineral.

There are no Seadoo shops near me so I had to look for alternatives. The oil is not in the marine side of Wally World. It's in the automotive side. It's in a gallon jug. Make sure you get the correct kind as Quicksilver also puts out a 2 cycle NMMA and TCW-3 oil. If you read the back label, it states it meets the requirement of BRP..........:cheers:
