Am I going to hurt my 2001 RFI engine if I contiune to use Pennzoil full synthetic oil? I just bought this ski and the privious owner has been using it and It has a full tank of the stuff in it now. On the jug of oil it states TC-W3 2-cycle marine and is NMMA approved. I know some folks say do use the TC-w3 stuff, but does that go for the synthetic also. This ski has 96 hours on it and that's all it has every used and the ski runs like a scalded dog.

Can somebody please help me to get to the bottom of this issure.

You are going to have to look in the owners manual for the type of oil to use. Most seadoo require the use of a low ash oil NOT the TW-C3 oil.

oils.........?

:agree: with Cordatta. The Rotax oil requirements reccomend that you use a non-NMMA, non-TCW-3, low ash oil. So, if the ski has run that type of oil for as long as you say it has.....I wonder why there hasn't already been damage to the engine.

It seems that your RFI is doing well with that oil, but I don't know that I'd continue to run it. I know the old saying, you don't change oil in the middle of an engines life. I'd almost be inclined to continue to use that oil, if it's all that it's ever seen...........but keyword here, "almost".......
