Just bought a 2001 sportster le

it has a rebuild 951 .... maybe 5 hours..

did not realize you used synthetic oil

I used straight 2 stroke oil in with the gas and topped off the container with 2 stroke oil.

if I use synthetic oil from here on .... will it be ok ?

Thanks,
Shaun

Is the 2-stroke oil you are using TC-W3 rated if so it's not compatible with API-TC (which is what you should be using)? If this is the case post back.

Hi Lou,

yes it is TC-W3 rated

the owner said after the rebuild he used Seadoo oil so its mixed in with that.

Thanks

You should drain the oil and get as much out as you can. Some oils will gel when mixed. It won't happen immediately but in time it can. The last tank I drained was like grape jelly at the bottom, looked normal on top.
