Being the original owner of a 2001 Seadoo GTS, bought a new 2007 Honda Aquatrax f-12x turbo ski. Brand new never used leftover with a full factory warranty. Paid 8000 Out the door to include all taxes, freight, and prep. Love my seadoo, but it was getting old and the price was right on the honda.

Still got the seadoo but trying to sell it.

Taking it out for the first spin tomorrow,

took it out thursday in the intercostal for about an hour, was mainly focusing on breaking it in. Switching from my 2001 GTS (which i love) the 4 stroke is 100% quieter. Starts right up (dont have to pull the choke like my seadoo lol). Throttle is very very responsive and the ski just feels so "beefy". Cruising around 30mph then squeezing the throttle all the way open was quite exciting for the first time... A little bit of turbo lag (which could be expected) then the ski just rockets towards top speed (mine shows 65mph on the speedo, not sure what that would be on GPS). Handling was also great and sturdy.

Very impressed with the ski. Then again my only comparison is my 2001 GTS 2 cylinder 2 stroke, which i have owned since new. I can only imagine how sick and powerful the new seadoo 255hp are... Well, maybe one day. I am still a die hard seadoo fan, but have always had a respect for honda.

4 cylinders?....

Wow, makes you wonder where they found the room to stick 4 cylinders in. It's a killer looking ski. Like you, I'm still more a Seadoo fan than anything else. I owned several Yamaha's when I joined this forum. I've since sold them all. I still have access to the one Tiger Shark I rode for so many years. But, after getting my GTX, I don't even go near it.

Have fun on the water, that's always the point... hopefully on a Seadoo but hey, just have fun!!!!

lol, there really is NO room when you look in the engine compartment. cool feature is that the side panels on each side come off for easier access to the engine compartment.

Big plus!!!!!

Now that would be a big plus, since when your working from the top down, only able to get into the engine compartment through the seat, it can get really cramped, really fast...!

I hate to say it... but my next sit-down PWC will probably be a Honda. I like Seadoo... but with the weight of the new 4-stroke modles... it needs the boost of forced induction... and I just don't like SeaDoo's superchargers. They are high maintenance, and honistly... engineering on them SUCK!!! There is absolutely no reason to need a "clutch" system. (the washers) Not to mention... superchargers are not as efficient.

Just my 2 cents.

Good find on the Honda.

Hmmm... Maybe if you bring your ski up this way, i might let you take one of my 215's for a spin, if you let me try out that turbo :D

I have ridden a few different ski's and the GTX 215 just hauls ass(sorry kiddies). The only problem that i have ran into was if there was just a little chop, it will jump out of the water on a whole shot. I guess i could lean forward a little to try to keep the bow down. I would really like to see and play with one of the honda turbo models.

Panama City? Maybe for Spring Break
I'd let you ride mine if you wanted, I really want to see how the new seadoo's ride (or maybe I dont, because i dont want to go and buy one after i ride it lol).
