Anyone ever lose their swim ladder? On my 2004 4tec sportster I was boating yesterday and we went to reach for the swim ladder and it was gone. I have forgotten it down a few times when driving so I think I probably rattled something loose and when I did it last it just broke free. Nothing is damaged, just the ladder is missing.

Does anyone know what brand the ladder is? I might want a replacement for if I sell the boat. Right now I'm kind of glad its gone because it kept getting in the way of our lines when kiteboarding.

Read in another thread that the manufacturer no longer makes the ladders since Seadoo stopped making boats. But that they did made extras and sent them all to seadoo for distributing.

Windline makes the ladders. They havent been the most helpful to some people that have called, but i you look on their site i bet you can figure out a replacement.

Mine fell off twice. I just have a carriage bolt holding it on now with Loctite. It is almost impossible to find one unless someone is selling it on ebay.

Mod - I just put one on top of the the swim platform on my 06 sportster. It's a 3 step fold down ladder, and much easier to remember to pull up. Four stainless 1/4" marine toggles and it was good to go. All can be had from west marine stores or online. They're less expensive too. Our boats are very similar, and this has worked well. I'll post a pic soon...Steve

Oh, be sure to fill the old ladder mounting holes with a sealant...

I've ordered directly from Windline with no issues. I even ordered a ladder that they didn't currently stock, but built upon request. This was when we moved from a single to two step version of the same ladder.

It does help to find the closest model in their lineup to compare to, or have the Seadoo part number that they can cross reference. That same number can be searched online and Ebay.

Worst case, get the measurements off your boat, and give them that info.

Good luck,
