Surging 4-TEC

Has any one ever had a engine that surged the RPM up and back down when running at 50% throttle? It seems to do this when holding at 5500rpm.

it seems like it might be a loose coil on plug wire or may be you TPS! (throttle pos sen)

Mine will do that ocassionaly,I remedy it by a slight tap on the throttle foward to increase the rpm X200 or so and it goes away.There seems to be a sweet spot there I find once and awhile. I think it also could be the rythm of the waves going in the intake

this could be the knock sensor it might come up on a fault code on the buddy system

my 04 sportster surge like that also. I tried cleaning the plugs but didnt change much.it also stalls when i shut the throttle right to zero after going quick. sounds like tps?? where do you guys get parts from online? i hate going to dealer unless i have to(oops didnt mean to ask another question) trying to use search engine instead of posting.thanks!
