I hear a lot of talk about the supercharger washers and the breaking down of them. I have a 2007 RXT and a 2008 GTX LTD. I was wondering if the 2008 contains the metal washers or the old ones. For my 2007 I would like to know what washers to buy to replace the old ones, also is there anything else I would need to buy besides he replacement washers?
Thanks
Justin

The 2008 will have the new washers in it, there still not as good as the riva washers but but are way better then the ceramic ones.
Your 2007 rxt if low hrs should only need the metal washer and your should buy the RIVA ones. Also you should pull the charges off and inspect and check the slip on them ever 25-30 hrs deppending on how hard you are on the ski's. And everybody who owns a supercharged seadoo should have a manual so you can learn how to maintain the supercharger and you should never have any problem with it.

Supercharger slip

Thanks,
I have ordered the manual and waiting for it to come in. When you say "check the slip on them every 25-30hrs" what do you mean
and what do you look for? Note: the 2007 RXT has 23 hrs and the 2008 GTX has 10 hrs.
Thanks again,
Justin

the slip is when the washers slip, Theres a certian slip pressure for the washers and you check with a dial style torque wrench like this http://www.mactools.com/Product/tabid/120/productid/321848/variantid/312607/Default.aspx, youll also need the supercharger tools that riva sells. as the washers wear the slip pressure lessens witch will decrease performance. So change out the washers to metal one and check the slip every 25-30hrs. All this is in the shop manual and discribed in detail.
