So Im not posting a whole thing on how to remove the sc as there are plenty of threads out there. Today I was simply going to remove the carbon ring and felt like the sc was in my way so I took it off. Also wanted to inspect it. Anyways was actually really simply and I didnt even have the proper tools. Anyways there are two screws on the bottom that I used an 8mm socket to remove but then there was the one on top that I couldnt get with anything. Anyways this is what I used. Hope this helps. super charger 2.JPGsuper charger 1.JPGsuper charger 3.JPG

I put some pressure on the part that attaches to the screw with my right hand and with left I turned the 1/4 wrench. The nut driver is a 1/4 as well. It just happened to work perfectly. When I loosened it enough i just simply used the 1/4 wrench to finish taking out the screw. worked. great.

You're making it harder than you have to. A 1/4" box end wrench works by itself on that top bolt. A 12pt is best...but a 6 works fine with patience and care.

I used a 1/4" box end wrench on that turkey and dropped the wrench like a dozen or more times in the hour it took me to remove that 1 bolt Red. It was a total PITA.

Now a ratching 1/4" box end wrench just slightly ground down around the end to fit, I've seen that tip posted before and it looked good too. Anything but a standard 1/4" box end wrench that was aweful aweful aweful! Yuk! :-p

yeah well...after the 2nd or third time you've done it...you replace the fckn torx head bolt with a standard hex head. ;)

HA!
