went out riding today at the lake and all good until my hose clamp came loose off the seal carrier, water was rushing inside like crazy and i was in the middle of the lake swimming trying to keep the bow up so my seadoo computer wouldnt get fried, (I thought this is it right here its done) anyways got some help got towed in and the engine compartmant, no exageration but the water was above it all, air filter, raves, exhaust, battery, trim controls, anyways computer was intact no water due to my fast thinking. went home faster than a guy with the $hittss, dried up my starter coil etc, replaced the hose clamp took off the cylinder head and after about 10 mins of cranking hooked up to the charger while doing so, I put the heads back on and it fired up,I was surprised of the little water the engine injested, went back to the lake and rode like a champ all day long no problems whatsoever my friends with Yammi's and Hondas couldnt believe I made it back to the lake in less than an hour, i'm amazed how BRP designs this machines so tough in every detail i'm just amazed that nothing got messed up such as the carbs or stator ,trim and all that got wet. 2 thumbs up for BRP:cheers:
going back to the lake tomorrow

awsome story.. where do you guys ride... I just picked up 2 seadoos.. both 96,s a gsx and a hx.. hx needs to be put back together the gsx rides great then seems to crap on me.. gonna try cleaning the carbs.. i live in victoria south of houston.

we ride in a private lake called boomtown pretty big about 150 acres, i'm located in Beaumont, you're going to love the gsx, i love mine no problems at all even with 200+ hours

yeah well my GSX ran like a champ with no maintenance besides a half assed winterization every fall. it started to have problems at 370 hours so i think you guys have plenty of fun ahead. just change those grey fuel lines and clean the carbs and it should go forever. i have been in texas a lot and it is a great state to have a seadoo if your close to a lake!
